As a Software Engineer with Google in Germany, you'll be at the heart of their core infrastructure, cloud services, and information security efforts. These roles are critical for maintaining the stability, scalability, and security of Google's vast product ecosystem, focusing on the essential building blocks that enable all their incredible services. You'll tackle massive-scale challenges, evolving and growing as Google continues to push technological boundaries.
Your Responsibilities
- Develop robust product and system code for core infrastructure, cloud services, or information security.
- Diligently review code, ensuring top-notch quality and adherence to best practices.
- Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues.
- Lead or actively participate in technology design reviews.
About You
We're looking for versatile engineers who are passionate about solving challenging problems and have a proven track record in software development.
Minimum Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 1-2 years of experience in software development using one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript, Go).
- You identify as having a disability, neurodivergence, mental health, or long-term health condition. - The ability to communicate effectively in English.
Nice to have:
- 1 to 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms.
- For full-stack roles, 1 year of experience across both back-end (Java, Python, Go, or C++ codebases) and front-end (JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, CSS, or equivalent) development.
